At Evolve Academy, we believe that every child deserves to feel SAFE, INCLUDED, ACCEPTED and SUPPORTED.

As part of our commitment to supporting MENTAL HEALTH MONTH, our team have introduced “Please Be Gentle” — a simple way for parents and carers to let us know when their child may need a little extra understanding on a particular day.

EVERY CHILD IS AN INDIVIDUAL.
EVERY PERFORMER HAS THE ABILITY TO GROW.

We understand that children can have difficult days. They may arrive feeling overwhelmed, emotional, anxious, tired, unsettled or simply not quite themselves. Sometimes, they may not be able to explain how they are feeling — and that's okay.

​

HOW DOES IT WORK?

If you feel your child may need a little extra patience, kindness or reassurance during their Evolve session, simply tell us:

“PLEASE BE GENTLE.”

THAT'S IT.

You don't have to explain what is happening, and you don't have to give us any personal information. The three words are simply a quiet signal to our team that your child may need us to approach their session with a little more patience and understanding.

If you would like to tell us more, you absolutely can. But THERE IS NO PRESSURE TO.

Our team will use that information to help create a more comfortable experience for your child that day. This might simply mean giving them a little more reassurance, allowing them some extra time to settle, being more mindful of how we communicate with them, or simply giving them a little more space when they need it.

​

Our aim isn't to treat anyone differently. It's about recognising that EVERY CHILD'S NEEDS CAN BE DIFFERENT, and making sure they feel supported as an individual.

WHY DOES THIS MATTER TO EVOLVE?

Evolve Academy is not built around rivalry or high-pressure competition.

We encourage our students to challenge themselves without feeling that they have to compete against the person beside them. We celebrate individual achievement, personal progress and the success of others.
